Colour grading is an important part of the post-production stage of photoshoots and I enjoy it as much as taking photos some times! It doesn’t come without its challenges when working with vivid colour casts from ambient light 💡 but I think I was able to counteract the red tones and bring the true colours through 🤗

I had the pleasure of capturing Seren Books event for @emilylcotterill book launch ‘Significant Wow’- a poetry collection touching on subjects from celebrity culture to every day observations on life in the 90s-00s.

This was such a beautiful maternity photoshoot and I love how the final images turned out 🥰

I decided to use continuous lighting for this photoshoot as I had two different set ups to transfer between in quick succession so cut down on test shooting time, and I also feel like it helps the client see what the lighting is going to be and know what to expect!

Continuous lighting is being used more in photography and I’m enjoying learning how it can be utilised! They’re a great way to guarantee consistency and it’s easy to experiment with light and shadows in real time 💡

That being said, I think there’s pros and cons to both continuous light and strobes and both have their own place on photoshoots 🙌

2. I’ve been fully booked for photoshoots every month so far this year! (So grateful to you all) ❤️
3. I work full time along side running my photography business. It means lots of long hours and late nights but I wouldn’t have it any other way whilst I build my business and connections 📸
4. I’m insured ✏️
5. It was my dad that actually guided me into photography whilst I was deciding what a-levels to choose in high school. He noticed my eye for taking photos and suggested I take the course even though I was dead set on following fine art at the time! 10 years later and it’s the best decision I made, with him, my family and friends all supporting me along the way 🫶
